Scott was born in New Jersey. He grew up living in various communities in New Jersey before moving to Syracuse, New York when he was in the eighth grade. After college, he moved to Chicago, Illinois where he worked for the Crucible Materials Corporation as an Account Sales Representative. It was there when he began to discern a call to the ministry. In the fall of 1995, he decided to pursue a seminary education to further discern his call at Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey, earning his Master of Divinity degree in 1999. He was ordained as a Teaching Elder/Pastor later that year. In his twenty-two years of professional ministry, Scott served churches in New Jersey and Pennsylvania as an Associate Pastor and churches in Kilgore and New Braunfels, Texas as a Senior Pastor. Director of Kid's Ministry
Ali was born and raised in Round Rock, Texas. Not only has she always been very involved in children's ministry in her home church, but she has also served on Kid's Ministry staff at two local churches. It was during high school she felt God's call on her heart to serve in children's ministry. She attended the University of Mary Hardin Baylor where she studied Christian Studies (ministry) and Art. After college, Ali started her own business doing freelance graphic design and custom art, as well as selling products she designs in her online store. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, spending time with her family and playing with her cats. Ali is very excited to serve the children and parents of Live Oak church!
Director of Music Ministry
Whitney has been leading worship since she was in High School. She has always found that music and liturgy have a special way of connecting God to His people and she loves sharing that experience with the church. She spent 4 years leading worship for a military church in Germany and 4 years leading worship for a church plant here in Austin. She studied music for a few years at Baylor University and then graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Business. She plans on starting her Masters in Divinity at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in the fall. In her free time you will find her with a toddler, guitar or book on her lap. She lives in Leander, TX and loves spending sunny afternoons outside with her husband (Joe), daughter (Amelia), and two dogs (Otto and Scout).
