Matching Gifts

RECURRING GIVING PROGRAM INCENTIVE

 

In an effort to help LiveOak Church plan its programs, the elders would like to encourage all members and regular attendees of LiveOak Church to set up recurring monthly giving to LiveOak Church.  In order to encourage 100% participation in this effort, LiveOak has secured two separate matching gift programs:
 

  1. For each individual/family who establishes a recurring monthly donation through LiveOak Church’s online giving link using the bank transfer option (rather than credit/debit card) and makes their first contribution by December 25, 2017, matching gifts will be made as follows:
     

    • A $250 match will be made for EACH individual/family who sets up a recurring donation (regardless of the amount of the recurring donation).
       

  2. For each individual/family who establishes a recurring monthly donation through LiveOak Church’s online giving link using the bank transfer option (rather than credit/debit card) and makes their first contribution by December 25, 2017, matching gifts will be made for 6 months as follows:
     

    • ​​A dollar-for-dollar match for any increase in your monthly donation compared with your average monthly donation from Sept-2016 through Oct-2017

EXAMPLES
 

  1. FACTS: A family establishes a recurring monthly gift totaling $250 per month with the first donation on December 1, 2017 that is made every month going forward.  From September 2016 through October 2017, their total contributions were $700 (an average of $50 per month).

    • Matching 1: $250 match for their first recurring gift

    • Matching 2: $1,200 match equal to a $200 per month increase times six months

    • GRAND TOTAL MATCHING: $1,450
       

  2. FACTS: A family establishes a recurring monthly gift totaling $20 per month with the first donation on December 1, 2017 that is made every month going forward.  From September 2016 through October 2017, their total contributions were unknown because they donated cash in the offering plate (assumed average of $0 per month).

    • Matching 1: $250 match for their first recurring gift

    • Matching 2: $120 match equal to a $20 per month increase times six months

    • GRAND TOTAL MATCHING: $370
       

  3. FACTS: A family establishes a recurring monthly gift totaling $1,000 per month with the first donation on December 1, 2017 that is made every month going forward.  From September 2016 through October 2017, their total contributions were $15,400 (an average of $1,100 per month).

    • Matching 1: $250 match for their first recurring gift

    • Matching 2: No match since their recurring gift does not exceed their previous average

    • GRAND TOTAL MATCHING: $250
